In today’s time there are so many negative images being portrayed and the news media seems to share the most traumatizing information which can cause some people to either walk in fear, cause hearts to become disheartened and for others to be completely heartbroken. So much focus is being targeted to what they see and causing some to become distracted, unable to see the bigger picture.
If we truly take our gaze off the “now” and fix our gaze on what matters most, we will recognize the bigger picture at hand. Simply put…Jesus is soon to come. Period. As a people, we need to receive the revelation of what that means. In the Holy Bible it is said in the book of Revelation:
Revelation 22:12-13 ““Behold, I am coming soon, bringing my recompense with me, to repay each one for what he has done. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the first and the last, the beginning and the end.””
What does this mean? Our job as believers is to spread the Word of the LORD—to love with the love of God, bring others to salvation, bring hope to the hopeless. One may ask,” How can someone do that with everything that is going on right now in this world?” Simple. Fix your gaze on Jesus. Turn your attention to Him. Set your heart towards Him—everywhere else we may have placed our hearts have probably caused some type of disappointment one time or another, but JESUS WILL NEVER FAIL US! He gives us beauty for ashes. Joy for mourning. He gives us peace, not as the world gives, so don’t be afraid! Jesus is your PEACE which surpasses all understanding.
John 14:27 ““I am leaving you with a gift—peace of mind and heart. And the peace I give is a gift the world cannot give. So don’t be troubled or afraid.”
Fix your gaze on Jesus.
When you fix your gaze on Jesus, you will begin to see God in everything. You will realize that love conquers all. It’s better to love and be at peace than to be bitter, broken and stressed. Life is short. Why waste time on giving power to unforgiveness when you can let it go, be free and receive love even despite it all? One thing I can attest to is that with God you can NEVER go wrong! With God you see the good even in the ugliest situations. He truly is Jehovah Jireh—He provides everything you need to wake up and get through the day.
Fix your gaze on Jesus.
As you do this, you will notice that in this time, in this season, it truly reveals that Jesus is soon to come and we don’t have time to be distracted by anything else. Fear is not an option. He has given us power, love and a sound mind!
Therefore, I challenge you to fix your gaze on Jesus. There’s a much better reward when you do! Seeing God in everything only brings the blessed assurance to know that His Word is true, He is alive and well and He is coming for His Bride—us!
Fix your gaze on Jesus!
Blessings,
Eliza Victoria
