In 2001 when I was pregnant with my oldest son, I had caught Bells Palsy and the doctors said I would never regain my facial muscles back and more than likely my face would stay droopy. I refused to believe the doctor, I wasn’t introduced to the ULTIMATE DOCTOR YET, but one thing was for sure, I told that doctor the next time he saw me my face would be back to normal. The doctor tried to place a label on me which seemed to “suit other” cases but I wasn’t like “other cases”. I was determined to do whatever I could to perform facial exercises because ELIZA refused to settle for what they said. I was literally told I was hideous, ugly, and laughed at by the one I tried so hard to make love me. I especially was torn down as I cried because of the hurtful words thrown at me each day telling me nobody could ever love a face like that. Needless to say, after all the emotional beatings I took, I kept fighting and I would NOT GIVE UP! I even had Bells Palsy at my baby shower and it was evident even in the pictures. After a while when I went for a follow up with the doctor, he was surprised to find I had fully recovered. I smiled and told him, “I told you next time you see me I would be back to normal”. Here I am 18+ years later and by looking you would never know.
What if I decided to accept what that doctor told me?
What if I walked away in defeat?
What if each time I looked at myself I accepted what others tried to label me as?
What if...I just threw in the towel?
It was never meant for me to quit.
The odds looked like they were against me but I WON and continue to WIN!
The doctor thought I wouldn’t recover BUT GOD had different plans.
You see, you’re attacked at the very thing which will produce much oil and anointing.
The attacks will come but guess what—it means it’s another opportunity for God to reveal His nature and show you how victorious you really are!
GOD didn’t give me my name by accident!
I may have had some uppercuts, slip ups and knock outs from time to time but guess what—I got BACK UP, declared rematches and continued to fight! There’s destiny attached to this face—to this woman right here and I prophesy over myself and say I WILL CONTINUE TO SOAR AND FULFILL WHAT GOD has created me to do here on this earth!!! It’s SNAP BACK SEASON and I’m taking people along with me because I know I’m not the only one!!!
